The Palencia Club

Opened in May 2002, The Palencia Club was received as the most exciting private club developed in the area offering wonderful social, dining and golf experiences. The Club includes an 18 hole championship golf course, beautiful 33,000 sq. ft. clubhouse with four dining venues, expansive practice facilities and modern golf maintenance facility, collectively situated on approximately 153 acres.

The Palencia Club is conveniently located in the heart of the Palencia Community that preserves, protects and enhances northeastern Florida’s environmentally sensitive Intracoastal Waterway. Blending beautifully with the surrounding woodlands and adjacent Tolomato River, Palencia features generous amounts of open space with neighborhood parks, bike trails and a unique system of interconnected boardwalks that cover nearly 10 miles, enabling residents to explore the coastal dunes and marshes of the Intracoastal, beyond the community.

The golf course at Palencia features an authentic Florida layout that was designed by Arthur Hills. Carved out between centuries-old oak trees, the championship Arthur Hills golf course offers a challenging experience. The breezes from the Intracoastal Waterway require golfers to have good shot accuracy for this course. Meticulously maintained, Palencia’s golf course offers many breath-taking views along the marsh, wetlands, preserves and the Tolomato River- receiving the well earned honor of being an Audubon Sanctuary.

The golf course occupies approximately 105 acres and features six sets of tees, playing 7,073 yards from the back tees with corresponding course and slope ratings of 73.7 and 144. Generous wooded buffers within the course property and lot easements enhances both the aesthetics and playability. The massive golf practice facility at Palencia consists of a 400 yard double-sided range, putting green, two chipping greens, five greenside bunkers, and one fairway bunker. Members find an abundance of premium Callaway practice balls awaiting them – all practice facilities are included for our golf members. Both the novice and frequent player will enjoy the private golf course that journeys out to savannahs and overlooks the Intracoastal Waterway.

The Clubhouse with its sweeping views and functional spaces are well-suited to hosting member’s functions, banquets and other special events. Members can enjoy dining in both formal and casual dining in the various dining venues. The Club is very active and offers a large array of fun and social activitie including weekly dining specials, Wine Clubs, Lunch & Learn and monthly parties and dances to mention just a few of the programs. Families and youth also can find lots to do with the Kids' Club, Family Night and casual outdoor activities.

The Membership at The Palencia Club is open to residents and non-residents and there is a wonderful mix of all ages – an equal amount of young executives, families, couples and those looking for a fun place to enjoy retirement. A wonderful place to call home.
